8U and 10U boys and girls registrations are now closed. Games for those age groups are starting next week. There are still openings for players and coaches for 12U and 14U so we’ll accept those registrations for a while.
Coed T-Ball registration begins next week. The deadline to register is May 10. We need volunteers and coaches. Sign up when registering your child. T-Ball is for ages 5-6.
All coaches and volunteers are encouraged to come to Veterans Park at 4:30pm Friday, April 16. Ballfields are to be lined and equipment distributed.
Havana Youth League is accepting registration for youth baseball and softball. The deadline to register is March 12, 2021. Please help spread the word by sharing!

The Havana Youth League is now taking player registrations for the 2021 season. The start of the season of the in-house league begins in April and ends early May, The travel leagues start in mid-May and goes through the 4th of July. Postseason tournaments are in the works.
As with all activities youth baseball and softball are subject to safety regulations in response to the pandemic. Those uncertainties created challenges for the HYL Board of Directors that included cancelling winter fundraisers and delays in organizing and scheduling the 2021 season.
HYL is looking for moms and dads to help make next Spring and Summer an incredibly fun time for Havana area boys and girls from 5-7 play T-Ball. To find ways you can help please sign up at Volunteer Registration.
HAVANA – Due to the pandemic and its uncertainties, the Havana Youth League (HYL) Board of Directors announced that their fundraising events such as the popular Bags Tournament and Mice Races held in February are canceled for 2021 season.
The all-volunteer Havana Youth League provides recreational and travel-league baseball and softball for area boys and girls from T-ball through age 14. The bats, balls, supplies, umpire fees, and t-shirts are financed through player fees. To keep those fees low the league conducts a variety of fundraising activities throughout the year.
Keeping safety in mind has always been the goal for HYL. Until further notice, all HYL events requiring public contact are cancelled. The HYL Board fully expects and are looking forward to a fun summer season in 2021.

The 2021 Havana Youth League Baseball/Softball Board of Commissioners is a solid group of community leaders determined to help make the next season of baseball and softball a safe, enjoyable experience for area youth and their fans.

The five voting members of the executive board form the foundation of the volunteer organization needed to offer recreational and travel softball and baseball to area youth. This board meets the legal standards of non-profit status with the State of Illinois.
Community leaders are stepping up to meet the chores for the Havana Youth League. Stephanie Bailey, Lucretia Duncan, Sam Fawcett, Ollie Mendenhall, and Keri Pequignot have volunteered to serve on various committees. Potential coaches for next season are also signing up. Troy Wickman, Havana Park District commissioner, will formalize the new board with former HYL President Darren Layton. HYL will then begin registering players for the upcoming season.
