Registration Begins

The Havana Youth League is now taking player registrations for the 2021 season. The start of the season of the in-house league begins in April and ends early May, The travel leagues start in mid-May and goes through the 4th of July. Postseason tournaments are in the works.

As with all activities youth baseball and softball are subject to safety regulations in response to the pandemic. Those uncertainties created challenges for the HYL Board of Directors that included cancelling winter fundraisers and delays in organizing and scheduling the 2021 season.

Parents/guardians are asked to register their children online. For questions and comments, contact us.

HYL Board announces COVID cancels fundraisers

HAVANA – Due to the pandemic and its uncertainties, the Havana Youth League (HYL) Board of Directors announced that their fundraising events such as the popular Bags Tournament and Mice Races held in February are canceled for 2021 season.

The all-volunteer Havana Youth League provides recreational and travel-league baseball and softball for area boys and girls from T-ball through age 14. The bats, balls, supplies, umpire fees, and t-shirts are financed through player fees. To keep those fees low the league conducts a variety of fundraising activities throughout the year.

Keeping safety in mind has always been the goal for HYL. Until further notice, all HYL events requiring public contact are cancelled. The HYL Board fully expects and are looking forward to a fun summer season in 2021.
